AJ Minter surpassed Mike Remlinger for sole possession of the record for most holds in Atlanta Braves history. AJ’s 108th hold put him in first place, one ahead of Remlinger’s 107. Remlinger had a 2.74 ERA over five years with the Braves between 1999-2002, and 2006.
Meanwhile, Ronald Acuna Jr. stole his 190th base to set the franchise’s Atlanta-era record for most steals. Acuna surpassed Rafael Furcal‘s 189 stolen bases. This record only applies to the Atlanta-era. The Braves full franchise record is actually 434, set by Herman Long. The modern-era record is held by Hammerin’ Hank Aaron with 240.
Acuna Jr. now has 10 steals on the season. He has a .408 OBP and is one steal behind MLB-Leader Elly De La Cruz. Acuna is on a 162-game pace for 77 steals.
Acuna and the Braves will face the Marlins in game two of the series tomorrow night at 7:20 pm ET. The Braves will send Max Fried to the mound to face Trevor Rogers.
