The Atlanta Braves‘ loss to the Rangers last night snapped a six-game winning streak. They hope to start another one tonight as they host the Miami Marlins at Truist Park. First pitch is scheduled for 7:20 pm ET. Ryan Weathers will start for the Fish and Bryce Elder will make his season debut for the Braves.
Braves Odds vs. Marlins: Pitching Matchups
Bryce Elder vs. Marlins Hitters: Elder has a solid track record against the team but the current group of hitters on the Marlins’ roster has slugged very well off of the 2023 All-Star.
Ryan Weathers vs. Braves Hitters: Weathers has had control issues at the big-league level and continues with a 4.1 BB/9 rate in 2024. He’s shown a propensity to giving up the longball, which does not bode well for him against the Braves.
Braves Odds: Spread and Moneyline
The Braves are favored in this home matchup by 1.5 runs (-118 odds) and the Braves Moneyline is set at -225 odds, according to DraftKings Sportsbook.
Recapping Our Picks of the Day on Saturday
I am 18-3 on my Braves picks this year. You can check out my previous picks here. I didn’t make any picks on Sunday’s game, which worked out well for me. On Saturday we gave you the Braves on the moneyline at -155 and an Acuna run scored. I hit on both of those picks to move my record to 18-3 on Braves picks of the day.
We also hit on the four-leg bonus parlay on Saturday!
- Acuna 1+ Hit: Acuna went 1-3.
- Charlie Morton 4+ K: 4 Ks exactly for Morton.
- Braves over 2.5 runs: Try 5 runs.
- Rangers under 8.5 runs: The Rangers scored just two runs.
Atlanta Braves Picks of the Day vs. Marlins (04/22/24)
- Atlanta Braves Moneyline (-225)
- Acuna over 0.5 runs scored (-165)
Braves vs. Marlins Parlay of the Day (DraftKings)
This three-leg parlay is available on DraftKings. I like the safety of it and it’s still -140 odds.
- Bryce Elder 3+ strikeouts
- Braves over 2.5 runs
- Marlins under 6.5 runs
The Braves are first in the league in runs scored per game at 6.25. The Marlins are 25th in the league at 3.70. They have only scored 7+ runs three times this season (one of those was against the Braves).
