Heading into the offseason, most pundits thought the Atlanta Braves would be seeking starting pitching via free agency or trade. Now it appears the Braves have more starting pitching depth than they know what to do with!

The Braves have two spots at the end of the rotation up for grabs until Spencer Strider makes his triumphant return. The two favorites to land the jobs out of camp are Grant Holmes and Ian Anderson, simply due to the fact that they are out of minor-league options.

The candidates for the end of the rotation have been performing very well. We decided to provide a few snapshots of which Braves pitchers are having a great spring thus far.

Brave Spring ERA Leaders (> 4.0 IP)

Four of the top five leaders in innings pitched have sub-2.00 ERAs and all five are under 3.00! It is worth noting that AJ Smith-Shawver is also a candidate for a rotation spot (if not out of camp, at some point this season), he has six strikeouts in 4.0 innings and has allowed one earned run and one walk.

Reynaldo Lopez has not allowed a run in 3.2 innings pitched this spring on two hits, three walks, and three strikeouts.

The candidates for the rotation are off to a fantastic start this spring. Watch today as Ian Anderson hopes to further his case to reclaim a spot in the rotation against the Marlins at 6:05 PM ET.
