About CoolToday Park

CoolToday Park serves as the Spring Training home for the Atlanta Braves. The park was opened in 2019 and has a seating capacity of 7,474.

Key Features of CoolToday Park:

  • Seating Capacity: The ballpark seats 7,473 fans. You can enjoy some great energy for a spring training game. The Tampa Bay Rays still wouldn’t sell out this park during the regular season.
  • Amenities: Explore premium concessions such as the Tomahawk Tiki Bar , shaded seating areas, and the Braves Clubhouse Store stocked with exclusive Braves merchandise. They have nice public restrooms, which is a big deal. It’s not some nasty urine trough where 20 dudes are face to face with their pants unzipped, like you are about to play red rover at P. Diddy’s house.
  • On-Site Parking – You get to park right on-site at CoolToday Park!

Check out our guide to Braves Spring Training schedule to identify your must-see matchups! On top of that, the seats in the shade tend to go first. Bring sunscreen if you are going to be exposed to the sun for the duration of your visit.

Where are the Best Seats at CoolToday Park for Atlanta Braves Spring Training Games?

Rows 107-110 along the first baseline have the best seats because they are in the shade and behind the Braves dugout.

I have seen kids get autographs in between innings and seen grown men yelling at Travis d’Arnaud to keep his elbow up. You will be close enough for him to hear you. Blooper (Braves mascot): will be interacting with fans behind the dugout since he spends a lot of time on top of the dugout trying to hype up the crowd. Mascots can get weird when they are in Florida. During one visit a couple of years ago, not only was Blooper interacting with us and the fans around us behind the Braves dugout, he was dry-humping the handrails all game.

Shaded Seating: These seats are in the shade. This is very important if you hate the sun. A couple of years ago we sat down the third baseline directly in the sun and we had to seek refuge after a few innings (images provided late

Where are the Shaded Seats at Cool Today Park for Atlanta Braves Spring Training Games?

Shaded seats at CoolToday Park

As mentioned above, sections 107-110 are shaded. Sections 201-207 are all shaded, as well. All rows in these seats have shade throughout the game. It depends on the time. If you want locked-down shade, sit behind the first base dugout. It’s great to stay close to the action, near all the Braves players, and in the shade. Plus, you’ll get to enjoy all the promotions in between innings and interact with Blooper the inappropriate mascot.

As you can see in the image below, we made the unfortunate decision of choosing the third-base line at this 1:05 game. We ended up moving later in the game to get out of the sun. We spent a lot of money at the Tomahawk Tiki Bar and in buying exclusive merch. We eventually made our way to the shade on the second-level terrace.

In the middle of the day, the sun beats down on most of CoolToday Park except for the seats along the first base line.

The Braves do a fantastic job of honoring their rich history and getting you jacked up about the upcoming Atlanta Braves season. They have retired number structures out front as you walk in from the parking lot, perfect for a photo-op. Everywhere you turn you’ll be comforted by the images of John Smoltz, Tom Glavine, Greg Maddux, Chipper Jones, Hank Aaron, and other Braves legends!

Below you can see a sample of how the Braves celebrate their past at CoolToday Park. There is also a view from the Tomahawk Tiki Bar overlooking a lake. The field is behind us in that image. The final image is a view of the field later in the day. You can see that seats along the third base line finally got some relief from the sun.

If you can’t get a seat behind the dugout and you don’t want to be exposed to the sun, you can try to find an evening game.

How Does Parking Work at CoolToday Park for Braves Spring Training Games?

Parking at CoolToday Park is easy to navigate. The surrounding area is still relatively undeveloped, so get there early and avoid traffic. It’s in a nice area. They even races like the Tomahawk 5K in which participants run around the roads outside the stadium then finish on the field near home plate on the third base side in foul territory. Your boy got 3rd place in his age group this year… at my age, that’s not saying much. Beat a guy in a wheel char…

On-Site Parking: Ample parking is available for a fee (typically $10). The parking is on the first base side of the stadium. There is a large paved parking lot (Red Lot), and then they’ll direct patrons to the grass parking once the red lot fills up. I appreciate stadiums with easy on-site parking and CoolToday Park has it.

Arrive early to avoid congestion and secure a convenient parking spot. Parking lots open three hours and five minutes prior to game times. So parking lots will open at 10:00am for a 1:05pm start time.

Game Day Experience at CoolToday Park

Here’s how to make your visit unforgettable:

  • Arrive Early (notice a theme here?):
    • Gates open two hours before game time – arrive early to watch batting practice and try and snag a few autographs.
    • Gates open three hours before game time for higher class fans – If you signed up for the VIP Experience or are a member of the LECOM Legends Club, Beach Club, A-List, LINE DRIVE, or are a Baseball and Brunch passholder, the the games open an extra hour early for you because… you are just a higher class person.
  • Bag Policy: Bags must be smaller than 16″x16″x8″ or you will be forced to take it back to your vehicle. This won’t be as big of a problem if you arrived to the game early, as we’ve reiterated repeatedly throughout this post. I hope you’ve listened!
  • Concessions: Don’t miss local flavors and fan favorites like smoked brisket sandwiches and craft beer.
  • Alcoholic Beverages: No outside alcoholic beverages are permitted.
  • Weapons Policy: No outside weapons permitted. You are allowed to purchase a souvenir bat. Is that a weapon?

What is the Best Way to Get Atlanta Braves Players’ Autographs at CoolToday Park?

Arrive early and hang near the baselines. Players will walk by and sometimes they will sign an autograph for a young fan. You will most likely get some autograph action between the time the gates open and a little before the first pitch.

If you sign up for the VIP Experience, you get to be on the field during batting practice and are more likely to get some sweet signatures from Braves superstars!

💡 Pro Tip: Bring a kid with you. You won’t look like a doofus if you are a 45-year-old collector. If you don’t have a kid, take a niece or nephew or something and pay them a commission to get the autograph for you. Players are more worried about enhancing the experience of the children and giving them memories that last a lifetime, not a 40-year-old man looking to get some ROI on his game ticket by auctioning an autographed card on eBay.

Buy Tickets Early for Marquee Matchups

Make sure you purchase your tickets early if you want to see a marquee matchup. Not only do tickets in the shade go fast, but tickets for popular matchups go fast as well. Tickets go on sale in December. As you can see, punctuality is important to the Spring Training experience!

Conclusion

CoolToday Park is the perfect destination for Braves fans looking to enjoy the excitement of Spring Training. With this guide, you’re set to have an incredible experience at the ballpark.

Grab your tickets, pack your sunscreen (unless you can get a seat in the shade), and get ready to cheer on the Braves this Spring!
