Schwellenbach finished the night with 5.0 innings pitched, eight strikeouts, two walks, one HBP, and three earned runs. Though he took the loss to drop his record to 4-6 on the year, it was another solid outing in what has become a trend since the beginning of July.

Something clicked for the 24-year-old right-hander in July. Dating back to July 6, Spencer Schwellenbach has posted a 2.86 ERA over seven starts.

Since start of July, Schwellenbach averaged more innings per game than he had in any one of his first 6 starts
