Chris Sale squared off against the Boston Red Sox and Nick Pivetta last night. Sale spent the past seven seasons with Boston before the Atlanta Braves acquired him this past offseason.
Sale has been a vital piece in the rotation, especially with Spencer Strider going down in just his second start. Sale added to his resume last night with his first double-digit strikeout game of the season, which we predicted!
Sale struck out 10 over 6.0 innings pitched, walking just one batter and allowing six hits. Sale has dropped his season ERA to 2.95 and boosted his record to 5-1.

Before the season started, we talked about the long list of injuries and list of freak injuries Sale had suffered over the years. This was his first opportunity to enter a season fully healthy in a long time. That is looking more and more accurate as the year unfolds.
