Atlanta Braves News: Ozzie Albies‘ hit streak ended at 15 games on Saturday May 4th in the Braves 11-2 loss to the Dodgers. Ozzie Albies had hit in 15-straight games dating back to April 7th.
Albies finished the game 0-4 with one strikeout.
Albies’ 15-game hit streak is the second-longest for Atlanta in 2024. He fell a couple games short of Marcell Ozuna‘s 17-game hit streak, which is the best of the season. Austin Riley also had an 11-game hit streak between April 6th and April 17th.
Both of Albies’ homers came in the first series of the season against the Phillies. Eight of his nine total doubles came during the hit streak.
During the streak, Albies slashed .349/.406/.446 with 22 hits in 63 at-bats. He had eight doubles, three walks, 11 RBI, 11 strikeouts, one stolen base, and was hit by three pitches.
The Braves second baseman is putting together another solid season for Atlanta, slashing .297/.355/.446.
The Braves will head home to host the 19-16 Boston Red Sox. The Braves went 1-5 on their west coast road trip and have fallen to 20-12.
