The Atlanta Braves are scheduled to face the White Sox today at 2:10 PM in 30 degree and potentially snowy weather. We’ll take a look at what we might expect from Strider and the Braves and hope the game does not get postponed.

Spencer Strider is scheduled to take the mound in the rubber game. The series is tied 1-1 after last night’s 3-2 loss.

The lines for this game have not yet been posted as of this writing. You can go to DraftKings Sportsbook for updates.

Spencer Strider vs. Chicago White Sox

White Sox hitters have only accumulated a total of 15 at-bats against Spencer Strider. Collectively, they are slugging .200/.200/.333 against the hard-throwing righty. No hitter has more than three at-bats against Strider. Andrew Benintendi has two hits with two RBI off him. Luis Robert Jr. has the only other hit.

Today’s game has the potential to be the worst conditions of the three. Ronald Acuna Jr. is going to be MISERABLE!

The poor weather has appeared to favor pitchers in this series. The pitchers are able to stay warm with constant movement. As long as Strider can maintain a grip on the ball, I like him to lead the Braves to a win. Strider is the ace of the staff and the Braves will turn to their ace to secure the series victory today.

Strider’s first game resulted in a 9-3 win for Atlanta. He pitched five innings, allowing two earned runs and striking out eight batters. He unveiled his new curveball in the season opener and it looked legit. Strider is no longer a two-pitch starter. He has effective use of four pitches in his arsenal right now.

Obviously, I like the Braves on the moneyline and I’m probably going to like Strider over on the strikeouts against the White Sox. Chicago batters are striking out 9.4 times per game in 2024. Strider has struck out 13.6 batters per nine over his career.
